Delete Your TetherDroid Account
Last updated: September 27, 2026
TetherDroid is provided by TestsTrakt. If you have any questions, you can reach us at any time (see Contact below).
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. It removes your account and the data tied to it (detailed below) and immediately signs you out on every device. Any active free trial or paid license is forfeited.
How to request account deletion
To request that your TetherDroid account and associated data be deleted, follow these steps:
- Use the request form below (or email us) from the email address associated with your TetherDroid account, so we can verify the request is yours.
- In your message, include the subject "Delete my account" and the account email address you want deleted.
- Submit the request. We will verify ownership of the account and process the deletion, then email you a confirmation once it is complete.
This opens our Contact Us form. Enter the email tied to your account and the note "Delete my account", and we'll take care of the rest.
What data is deleted
When we process your deletion request, we permanently delete the following data associated with your account from our systems:
- Your account record — email/username and your stored (hashed) sign-in credential.
- Your license and free-trial records, including any TetherDroid activation keys issued to you.
- Your active web-portal sign-in sessions (you are signed out everywhere immediately).
- Any device-pairing state held for your account.
Your messages, calls, contacts, notifications, and screen content are never stored on our servers in the first place — they are end-to-end encrypted and relayed only between your own paired devices (see our Privacy Policy), so there is nothing of that kind on our side to delete. Data cached locally on your own devices is removed when you delete the TetherDroid cache, remove a paired phone, or uninstall the apps.
What data is kept, and for how long
A limited set of records is retained after account deletion only where we are legally or operationally required to keep it:
- Transaction & billing records. Records of purchases (such as a transaction reference, amount, and date) are retained as required for tax, accounting, and legal-compliance purposes, typically for up to 7 years, after which they are deleted. Card payment details are held by our payment processor under its own retention and privacy terms — we never store your card number or any billing information.
- Records required to comply with law. Where a specific legal obligation requires longer retention of certain records, we keep only what is required, for only as long as required.
Retained records are limited to the minimum necessary and are not used to re-identify you for any other purpose. Backups are cycled on a rolling schedule, so residual copies in encrypted backups age out within the normal backup-retention window after deletion.
